Several SMHS athletes and coaches attended the annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) Banquet at Texas State University on February 4. SMCISD guests included: • Coaches Eloy Collazo and Rosalinda Ramirez, along with the SMHS Girls Cross Country team; • Coach Cathy McBride and the SMHS Softball team; • Coach Michelle Moreno and the SMHS Volleyball team.
Three members of the San Marcos High School athletics teams were honored at the banquet, including: (left to right in the photo) Jackie Cantu, Softball athlete who won the Most Spirited Award; Cross County Coach Rosalinda Ramirez who won the Most Valuable Coach Award; and Gina Misiaszek, Volleyball athlete who won the Academic Achievement/All-Around Athlete Award.
