The Academic Excellence Indicator System pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. This information is put into the annual AEIS reports, which are available each year in November. The performance indicators include:
- TAKS passing rate by grade, by subject, and by all grades tested;
- End-of-Course examination -- participation and results;
- SDAA performance
- attendance rate for the full year;
- dropout rate (by year);
- completion and dropout rates (4-year longitudinal);
- percent of high school students completing an advanced course;
- percent of graduates completing the Recommended High School Program;
- AP and IB examination results;
- TAAS / TASP equivalency rate; and
- SAT and ACT examination -- participation and results.
Performance on each of these indicators is shown disaggregated by ethnicity, special education and low income status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, finances, programs and demographics. |
