Dear
Students, Parents and Community Members,
On
behalf of our teachers and staff, I would like to welcome you
to Owen Goodnight Junior High School! Just four short years
ago, Goodnight Jr. High School was one of less than 200 schools
across the country to receive the National Blue Ribbon Award.
This is a prestigious award that is given to only the very
best of schools in the United States! We are proud of this
achievement and will continuously strive for excellence!
As
a staff we are committed to making a positive difference in
the lives of each and every one of our students. Of course
we will have a strong focus on academics; however, there is
much more to educating our youth than that. By providing a
well-rounded program, aimed at meeting the many needs of middle
school aged children, we will concentrate on developing the
whole child socially, emotionally, and, of course, academically.
We
reach out to all of the stakeholders in our school community.
We encourage all to become active role players as we collectively
work with our most precious resource, our children!
