Pathfinder
Learning Center is committed to academic excellence in a non-traditional
setting to ensure that students graduate, enroll in
post secondary education, and become productive citizens and
lifelong learners.

Goals
- Instruction: To
Provide a clear focus on academic learning, high academic standards
with creative instruction.
- Professional
Development: To provide ongoing professional development
activities that help teachers to maintain an academic focus,
enhance teaching strategies and develop alternative instructional
methods.
- Decision
Making: To provide autonomy that builds creativity,
instructional excellence, trust, and loyalty among staff.
- Community: To
provide opportunities for students and staff to share expectations
for learning. To encourage students to take a variety of courses
that enable them to pursue their interests and aspirations;
To promote a positive image of Pahtfinder Learning Center within
the District and the community at large.
- Social
Development: To Network with community agencies
such as San Marcos Youth Council, Casa Esperanza, Hays Caldwell
Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and Texas State.
