In
compliance with Education Code 11.251, the District has
established a Districtwide Educational Improvement Council
of campus-based
teachers, nonteaching District professionals, parents,
and business and community members. The DEIC shall advise
the
Board or its designee in establishing and reviewing the
District’s
educational goals, objectives, and major Districtwide instructional
programs identified by the Board or its designee. The DEIC
shall serve exclusively in an advisory role except that
the committee shall approve staff development.

DEIC Positions Open for Election for 2007-2008
DEIC member openings occur each year through members having fulfilled their terms of office or through the need to replace a member whose term has not expired but who has left the district. Professional staff positions open for the 2007-2008 school year are as follows:
