RANSFER REQUEST FORM
An employee requesting a transfer to a new position or campus must complete a Transfer Request Form and return it to Human Resources. The employee should also complete the online application for each position they wish to pursue.
 
DUCATIONAL AIDE EXEMPTION PROGRAM
Educational aides may be eligible for reduced fees and free tuition if they intend to become certified Texas teachers.

UBSTITUTE TEACHER INFORMATION SubFinder System Login
Minimum Requirements:
  A substitute teacher must have a minimum of 30 hours of college credit or 50 hours of documented work with students within the district during the past 12 months, and be available to work at least two days per week.
  Orientation Requirement:
  All substitutes new to San Marcos CISD must attend an Orientation session prior to working as a substitute teacher for San Marcos CISD. Dates for the sessions will be announced as part of the application packet. It is believed that providing this opportunity will enhance the educational program and that it will help substitutes in the performance of their duties.
  Substitute Salary:
 

A substitute teacher will receive the following pay:

  • Daily Rate 1-10 days: $70.00
  • Daily Rate 11-30 days:  $75.00
  • Daily Rate 30+ days:  $80.00
  • Certified Teacher Substitutes:  $85.00 per day
  Application Procedures:

  • Complete a substitute application form.
  • Provide an official college transcript verifying a minimum of 30 college credit hours.
  • Provide a record of examination and verification of freedom from active tuberculosis infection dated within the past 12 months.
  • Complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form.
  • Complete a Criminal History Authorization release form.
  • Complete W-4 Withholding Allowance form.
  • Schedule to attend a Substitute Orientation.
