Department Mission Statement
San
Marcos Consolidated Independent School District strives
for excellence in education, athletics, and all extra-curricular
activities. Within this mission, San Marcos' Athletic
programs are an integral part of the school district
and its educational programs. San Marcos Athletics
is committed to maintaining a program that reflects
the attitudes and values of our school district: integrity,
academic excellence, leadership, equity, diversity,
and success. An athletic program that reflects these
values will contribute to the overall development
of the student athlete, enhance the school experience,
and foster a strong sense of community pride. Promoting
this commitment on the part of the students, faculty,
staff, and alumni, it is our goal to maintain a successfully
competitive University Interscholastic League rules
and regulations, and adds to the holistic development
of each student athlete.
