OASI
The Office of Accountability and School Improvement (OASI) is a division of the Teaching and Learning Department specifically dedicated to coordinating all state and district assessment, reporting and evaluation of instructional progress. School improvement initiatives must be driven by data-based decision-making practices, and it is the goal of the of the OASI to provide the highest caliber and most up-to-date data possible to all appropriate district and campus staff in order to expedite the school improvement process. The OASI conducts ongoing training with teachers and administrative staff on a variety of topics, including the state and federal accountability systems (AEIS, PBMAS, AYP), national testing (NAEP), state testing (TAKS, Online TAKS, TAKS-I, TAKS-M, TAKS-A, SDAA II, LDAA, TAAS, RPTE, TOP, SSI), and district assessment tools (PA Series, lexiles, quantiles, EdSoft) and campus-based assessment tools (Webccat, TMDS/TSDS).
