Welcome to Junior English Fall Semester 2011
Welcome to English III and my classroom! This year we will journey through time, genres, and a wide variety of authors and artists. I look forward to exploring American Literature with all of you. I graduated from Texas State in December of 2006. I was hired to teach at San Marcos High School the following January. This is my fifth full year of teaching Junior English. This is also the fifth year I have been teaching AP English. I am always trying to diversify what I teach. I try to offer the students a wide variety of viewpoints of America literature through different genres, art, music and film. I also try to approach the history of the genre we are studying. The time of a piece often indicates why it was written; what it is truly about, and why it was written in the style it was. I look forward to this brand new year with the students and parents of the graduating class of 2012.
