I'm so excited for this new school year. Every year is a new beginning and this year is no doubt going to be a great one.  

Before moving to San Marcos, I  previously taught in the Houston and Rio Grande Valley.  I've been a teacher at De Zavala for many years. I was born and raised in Mission, Texas.   I received my undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and did my alternative certification in elementary education.  My  teaching certificates include: bilingual/ESL, early childhood,  special education and  also have an MRT ( master reading teacher) certificate.  I am a Wilson  Level 1 practitioner. I am currently working on my Level 2 certification .

I look forward to working with your son/daughter this year and helping him/her reach their full potential in reading. We will be utilizing audio books through Learning Ally and hope that they can take advantage of this wonderful tool and enjoy reading.
