I was born and raised in Shiner, Texas. I attended college at Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State, and fell in love with this part of Texas.

This is my 24th year as an educator in San Marcos CISD. I have taught 3rd grade, Gifted and Talented Education, and am currently an Interventionist.  I work with students in Kindergarten through 5th grades, concentrating on math and reading skills. I enjoy seeing how excited the children are when they acquire new skills.

I have 3 grown children, all graduates of SMHS. San Marcos schools have done a great job of preparing them to be successful in college.
