Parent Access & Control
San Marcos CISD provides a wide variety of school library materials for students and staff that support student achievement and present varying levels of difficulty, diversity of appeal, and a variety of points of view. Generally, students are allowed to self-select library materials as part of literacy development and the library program.
While our staff is here to assist students in finding books that interest them, the ultimate decision about what is appropriate rests with you and your child. Parents and guardians can control which materials their own children can check out from the district's library system.
Below are the three different libraries in which parents/guardians can restrict titles: School Library, Classroom Libraries, and Online Library.
