About Us

The SMCISD Dual Language Two-Way Immersion Program was initiated in the 2017-2018 school year in order to better serve our students identified as English Learners, as well as provide an enrichment opportunity for students wanting to learn Spanish as a second language. Our program consists of three key goals that align with our District's core commitments.

The goals of the program include securing:

1) Bilingualism and Biliteracy

2) High academic achievement

3) Sociocultural awareness for each of our students

At its foundation, the program highlights the critical importance of closing achievement gaps between student populations.
