Ms. Michelle Sharpe
Hi! My name is Ms. Sharpe and I am a third grade teacher! This will be my 11th year teaching with San Marcos ISD. I have taught grades Kindergarten through 3rd. This will be my 4th year teaching 3rd graders (which is my favorite grade). I love teaching and watching my students grow as they learn to become better readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists. My favorite thing about teaching is when I see the "light bulb" turn on when a student gets it!
I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in 2008 from Texas State University. Go Bobcats!! I continue to learn new ways of implementing new strategies to help students grow in their learning.
I was born and raised in Dripping Springs, Texas and I love everything about this area (especially our beautiful river). I am the proud owner of two furry friends, they are a big part of my little family. Kona the oldest, is the smartest of the two, she follows her mom everywhere and is a protector wherever we go. Pepper is 3 years old and is still in the puppy phase, not sure if she will ever grow up. She brings the laughter and continuous energy into our home. Pepper keeps Kona young at heart. They both love to snuggle.
I have always loved kids and teaching has been my dream since I was a child. I used to play school with all my stuffed animals, they were the smartest on my street. I love reading, listening to music, traveling, hanging with my friends, playing with my dogs, and of course floating/kayaking our beautiful river.
My goal is to always create a fun and safe learning environment for your children and help them build a growth mindset to prepare them for what the future holds.
Thank you for helping your child grow as learners!
