This is my thirty-sixth  year teaching and my fifth year at San Marcos High School. I have an undergraduate degree from Olivet University in Illinois, my teaching certificate from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a Master's in English from McNeese State in Louisiana. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan, and I am a loyal Lions and Piston fam. I have also lived in Ohio, Illinois, and Louisiana. Before coming to San Marcos, I taught every level of high school English.  In San Antonio I also worked as and adjunct instructor at Palo Alto one of the San Antonio Community Colleges.  At San Marcos I taught English I for three years, and last year I moved to Button Academy. I love working with the students in Button.  It is the most rewarding job I have ever had. I am at school two days each week until six and every Saturday that we have Saturday School from 8:00 - 1:00 so that Button students may reach their graduation goals.
