Hello! My name is Ms. Garcia, and I'm very excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year! I began my career at Travis Elementary 12 years ago and have enjoyed every year of it! I've taught 4th grade for ten years and 1st grade for one year. I absolutely love teaching and seeing each child grow academically and socially. I look forward to an amazing school year full of learning, fun, and new adventures!  

I was born and raised in San Marcos, TX and graduated from San Marcos High School. I received my Bachelors of Science in Applied Sociology and Masters in Elementary Education from Texas State University. I have two children, Victoria, a junior at SMHS, and Logan, a 2nd grader at Travis Elementary. I am a huge animal lover! We have 3 dogs, Zoey, Max, and Kiki, 2 cats, Bella and Bailey, and 2 goldfish. I cherish and value every moment I spend with my family whether it's relaxing at home, traveling, or at one of their volleyball or baseball games.
