Dear Second Grade Travis Family,

My name is Mr. F. Torres. I am native to San Marcos. I attended Bonham in kinder, Bowie in first through third grade, Crockett in fourth grade, Lamar in sixth grade, Goodnight in seventh and eighth grade, San Marcos High School in ninth through twelfth grade, and Travis Elementary School as a fifth grader. Go Travis Texans!!! I have been a general education teacher for 25 years. I have been a Reading Interventionist/ GT teacher at Sabinal Elementary for a year. I have taught second grade at Tom Green Elementary for four years and now have 20 years at Travis teaching third and second grade.

I graduated from Texas State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

I have been happily married to my wife Sara for 24 years. Sara was also a teacher at Travis. She is currently working at the LBJ Institute for STEM Education and Research at Texas State University and pursuing her PhD in School Improvement. I have four children Frankie (TAMU graduate), Isabel (TSU graduate), Felina (at TSU), and Esai (at TSU).

I enjoy teaching, working on my hobby farm, gardening, and spending time with my family.
