My name is Britt Patterson, and my students call me Ms. Pat.

I am the Arts Literacy teacher at Bowie Elementary. Students explore different artistic materials and techniques, learn about artists and their artwork, and create unique, expressive, personal 2D and 3D art. This is my third year at Bowie, and I have been teaching in Texas for over a decade. I studied at Texas State University, and the students of San Marcos are the reason why I live and work here: I love my job, and I love to help my students and colleagues to be their creative, confident best!

Art and Literacy are my passions. I am a ceramics artist at heart, as well as collage and fiber arts (needle felting, specifically). I read,read, read every day. Non-fiction and biographies are my current favorite things to read.
