I am originally from San Diego, California, but was raised in the small town of Gonzales, Texas. I graduated from Texas State University in 2012 and went on to earn my master's degree through Lamar University in 2016. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, staying active, and traveling.
This is my eighth year as a classroom teacher and my third year here at SMCISD. I teach 8th grade science and coach basketball and track. Prior to joining the Goodnight family, I taught math and science to the students of Gonzales, ranging from 4th grade up to high school. Also, I coached the junior high and high school cheerleading squads.
I aim to provide an engaging learning environment that fosters confidence, resilience, and encourages students to demonstrate character and reach their full potential academically based on practices rooted in rigor, relevance, and relationships.
