I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I earned my Masters of Education at Texas State. I have been an educator for seven happy years all served at Miller Middle School. My first two years I spent working with students with special needs in our FOCUS program. I taught math and coached football, basketball, track, and soccer for one busy year. My fourth year working at Miller I was finally moved to my dream job; teaching world cultures and geography to 6th graders where I have been for the last four years. I graciously accepted the role of social studies department chair two years ago.

My class is the first exposure to the content of history, geography, government, and culture for my students. Opening their eyes to the wonders of our planet has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life.
