From an early age, I have loved children. My mother was a teacher and told me I would make a wonderful teacher some day. Here I am starting my 23rd year of teaching! I graduated from SFA in 1994 and began teaching in East Texas as a bilingual third grade teacher. Two years later I moved to Tyler ISD to teach Special Education. About three years later my husband and I moved to Austin and I began teaching in Del Valle ISD. I was the bilingual itinerant special education teacher. I then moved to the new school in Creedmoor continuing in Special Education but adding the roles of Team Leader and 504 Coordinator. I spent twelve years in Del Valle before coming to San Marcos. I have now been with my Crockett family for seven years. I am currently a Co-Teacher/Resource teacher for grades K-5 and the Special Education Team Lead. I work closely with the classroom teacher to help facilitate active learning and success for not only my students receiving special education services but all students. I am looking forward to another great school year!
