A little about me, I grew up in a small town called Pleasanton. I received my Bachelor of Science degree at Angelo State University and my Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas, Arlington.
This is my seventh year teaching at Goodnight. I taught reading intervention for five years and am now teaching physical education/athletics and I have loved every minute of it. My philosophy for being healthy is having a balance between physical activities and mental health wellness. My goal in PE is to make it fun, positive, and a rewarding experience for all my students. Specific objectives include: promoting fitness, encouraging better nutrition and health practices, and higher academic levels through physical skill development.
Along with teaching PE I also teach and coach girls athletics. I strive to teach my athletes the value of competition my instilling in them to have positive character traits and by having a strong work ethic. Athletes who are successful have to work for it, winning is not easy and has to earned. I coach 8th grade volleyball, track, and soccer.
