I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. My Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree is from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). After graduation, I continued at TAMU-CC to obtain a teaching certificate in math for grades 8-12 and started teaching in 2004. The 2018-2019 school year is my 12th year at Miller! I've had the privilege of teaching 6th grade math, 8th grade math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and algebra 2 to middle school students.
The summer of 2017 I had the pleasure to be the Deputy Team Leader for a group of four middle school students that traveled to Hong Kong to compete in the Primary World Math Contest (PWMC). Our team represented Mathworks at Texas State University. The team won first place in the Po Leung cup and second runner-up overall.
