I am an art educator hailing all the way from Washington, D.C. After spending my childhood exploring Appalachia, drawing and painting on any surface I could find in and out of the house, I took my portfolio to Brooklyn, New York where I attended Pratt Institute. I graduated from Pratt Institute with my Bachelor's and Master's in Art Education.

Another passion of mine is traveling. While attending Pratt, I spent a lot of my time traveling around the country, and fell in love with the Texas Hill Country. I decided to move down here to San Marcos and work on my teaching certifications, while becoming involved in the music and arts community of the city. I am amazed by the local talent of not only the adults, but the children I have the pleasure of meeting in my classroom every day.
