I have enjoyed teaching in San Marcos Schools for the past 33 years after completing two years as an instructional aide when I first moved to San Marcos in early 1980s. I earned a BS in Education in 1985 from Texas State University.  I have taught all subjects in the elementary grades and have taught math at Miller Middle School for the past 13 years. I currently teach 8th grade Math Intervention classes. During my teaching career, I have worked and traveled with Texas State University's Geography department to European countries and Mexico, meeting diverse groups of people and learning about different cultures. I have driven through Canada all the way to northern Alaska and have traveled to many European countries, as well as Russia and VietNam. My favorite fun activity is fishing, anytime and anywhere.
