Hello De Zavala Families, I have 18 years in education, with 11 years as a counselor, and am in my fourth year as the De Zavala Elementary Counselor.

My goal is to help students become aware of the endless opportunities that are ahead of them and feel confident in achieving their goals.  I will provide all students with a comprehensive guidance and counseling program that will promote student success.  I will be using the Second Step Program in your child’s classroom to teach them skills necessary to get along with other peers, problem-solving, and acquirement of critical skills for learning.

Mi objetivo es a ayudar a los estudiantes a tomar conciencia de las infinitas oportunidades que están por delante de ellos y que se sientan seguros en la consecución de sus metas.  Les proporcionaré a todos los estudiantes una orientación integral, asesoramiento y programas que promuevan el éxito de los estudiantes. Utilizaré el programa Second-Step en los salones para enseñarles a sus hijos/as, resolución de problemas, como llevarse bien con otras personas y otras habilidades críticas para el aprendizaje de su hijo/a.
