Born and raised in San Marcos, Cecilia Reyes is proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of Mendez Elementary School. A product of the SMCISD community, attend school here from Pre-K through 12th grade and brings 12 years of teaching experience along with two years of administrative leadership in Seguin ISD.

She has been married to her husband for the last 14 years. He is also in the district, Coach Conrado Reyes at the High School who coaches football and is the head boys soccer coach. Cecilia has three children of her own in the district in 8th, 5th and 2nd grades. 

Dedicated to lifelong learning and professional growth, Cecilia Reyes recently completed the Next Generation Principals cohort through a partnership between Holdsworth and Seguin ISD. She has also participated in SMCISD’s Aspiring Assistant Principal cohort and the Emerging Leaders cohort in collaboration with Texas State University. Currently, Mrs. Reyes is pursuing a doctoral degree focused on school improvement at Texas State University and completing superintendent coursework with an upcoming practicum this school year.

Committed to supporting students, teachers, staff, and families, Cecilia looks forward to contributing to the continued success of Mendez Elementary and the SMCISD community.
