I am originally from San Diego, California, but was raised in the small town of Gonzales, Texas. I graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I went on to earn my master's degree through Lamar University in 2016 in Educational Administration. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, staying active, and traveling.
This is my eighth year as a classroom teacher and my third year here at SMCISD. I teach 8th grade science and coach basketball and track. Prior to joining the Goodnight family, I taught math and science to the students of Gonzales, ranging from 4th grade up to high school. Also, I coached the junior high and high school cheerleading squads.
I strive to build confidence, resilience, and encourage my student athletes to demonstrate character and reach their full potential on and off the court.
I look forward to working with you and your athlete this year as we DEFEND SM!

Hello, my name is Coach Stephanie Pierson and I graduated from the University Of Texas @ Tyler with my BS in Kinesiology. I am the 8th Grade Girl's Basketball Coach and I also teach 6th Grade Pre-Athletics and 6th Grade PE. I am very passionate about what I do and also excited for my students to gain all the tools and knowledge needed to live a healthy lifestyle. I received a scholarship to play basketball at the collegiate level and I love passing on all the wisdom and knowledge gained from my experiences. I am also involved in our FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at Goodnight Middle School. Go Rattlers!
