My name is Irma De Los Santos and I am your child’s school counselor. Previous to being a school counselor I was an elementary school teacher for six years. I have four children, one girl and three boys. My daughter's name is Cecilia. My boys are Cedric, Cebastian, and Cesar Jr. My husband’s name is Cesar and he is a middle school teacher in New Braunfels, Texas.
I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and I am certified to teach bilingual education to students in early childhood through fourth grade. I am also a certified school counselor for early childhood through twelve grade with a Master Degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.
My experience as an elementary school teacher allowed me to realize that I wanted to assist students in other ways to improve their success and experience in school. Therefore, I was determined to become a school counselor. This role enables me to advocate, lead, collaborate and consult with parents, teachers, staff, and students to create opportunities for success in the education of students through an effective and successful counseling program which I will implement to the best of my ability.
I believe that “the most certain way to succeed is to try just one more time” (Thomas Edison) and that is exactly what I will do; I will try and try until successful.
With all best wishes!
