San Marcos CISD is excited to announce that the Texas Education Agency has approved an Early College High School to be housed within San Marcos High School. The San Marcos High School ECHS students have the opportunity to earn an associate's degree or up to 2 years of college credits toward a bachelor's degree during high school at no cost to the students. The program is designed to enable students to take college courses while still receiving support from high school staff.
2028 Cohort Timeline
- Week of January 23rd-February 2nd, 2024 - ECHS Q & A Sessions for Students and Parents
- Friday, February 23rd, 2024 – ECHS Application Closes (at noon)
- Week of February 26th, 2024 - ECHS Acceptance Letters will be emailed
- April, 2024 - Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting for college applications (Date TBD)
