Welcome to the San Marcos High School General Electives Department!

Our General Electives Department consists of our AVID classes, also known as Advancement via Individual Determination. AVID helps students become more organized by using a planner. It also encourages students to answer higher-level thinking questions and develop college-level writing skills.
