Mrs. Beth Wolpman, M.Ed.
Years of teaching and learning brought me to this opportunity to serve SMHS as the campus Information Literacy Specialist (ILS).
As an ILS, my role is to open the Learning Resource Center to Rattler students, faculty, staff, and our community as a center for inquiry, discovery, and learning.
My previous roles at SMHS include English teacher (all four grade levels), facilitator for students needing to regain credit or accelerate, department chair, AVID teacher & campus coordinator, Education & Training teacher, and AP Psychology teacher.
My family and I make our home in San Marcos. Both of our daughters graduated from San Marcos High School and Texas State University. My husband and I graduated from Southwest Texas State University. We have four dogs living in our home. Two belong to us and two belong to our daughter and her fiancé.
Being a grandmother to Zoé, reading, cooking, conversation, serving others, and learning are my great passions. This fall, I am conducting research to completing my docorate in Education Leadership, so by the end of the 2020-2021 school year, I'll be graduating, too.
Please come see me in the LRC. I am here to be your technology support, your guide, your fellow researcher, and your cheerleader as you learn about every and any possible area of interest. Let's explore the world from right here in San Marcos, TX!
