• We want to thank all of the students that participated in the 2024-2025 Cheerleading Clinic March 19-21 and the Cheer Tryouts March 22. For those listed below, the first installment of $200 is due by 11:59pm on April 8, 2024.  Payment is available on the SMCISD website at: https://www.smcisd.net/domain/2875

    Mascot tryouts will occur late April - early May, and will be open to all 2024-2025 9th-12th grade students.  If selected the mascot will be required to be in the Cheer class.

  • We believe cheerleading teaches teamwork, setting and reaching goals, work ethic, sacrifice, determination, leadership skills and resilience. We believe those who have character, work hard, and have a good attitude are the most successful in whatever they do, and in learning these qualities in high school prepares students to succeed later in life. These values are expected to be present so we can have fun, be safe, work hard, and develop character that makes us successful.

     

    The cheerleaders of San Marcos High School are athletic spirit leaders of the school. SMHS Cheerleading includes VARSITY and JUNIOR VARSITY cheer squads, mascots, and managers. The administration, coaches, and a booster club support this student organization.
