Ms. Veronica Lopez

Veronica Lopez is a Native Austinite, who attended W. Charles Akins High School where she nurtured her passion for music and helping others through education. During High School, Ms. Lopez was a member of the Texas Association for Future Educators (TAFE) which allowed her to get hands-on experience in the classroom during her regular school hours. While she originally planned on becoming a Math Teacher, Ms. Lopez realized that she could not leave her passion for music behind, and decided to apply to Music Education Programs in Texas. in the Fall of Her Senior Year. 

Ms. Lopez is a First Generation College Graduate, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Choral Music Studies with a Minor in French from The University of Texas at Austin. She studied Voice under the late Nikita Storojev, and appeared in the University of Texas's Concert Chorale, Butler Opera Center's Undergraduate Ensemble, and University Chorus. She also had the opportunity to perform with the Russians Speaker Society of Austin during her undergraduate degree.

Ms. Lopez is starting her third year of teaching, having previously served as the Assistant Choir Director at Deerpark Middle School in Round Rock ISD. She strives to create a space where students can follow their passions while gaining confidence, and be supported by a community of like minded individuals. During her time away from school Ms. Lopez loves to spend time with her loved ones, which include her two beloved dogs: Artemis & Nova.
