Amy Wolff began dancing at the age of 2 with her main training in ballet at Ballet Austin. She was in many productions, including the Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Mrs. Wolff has had the honor of studying with many teachers and choreographers from around the nation, such as Lambros Lambrou, Michelle Martin and Stephen Mills. These world renowned choreographers have helped to instill a love for the arts, ballet and technically train Mrs. Wolff as a dancer. In high school, she decided to join the drill team where her passion for dance team evolved.
Mrs. Wolff attended Texas State University with a major in dance education. While in college, she taught all ages and dance styles at Alisa’s Dance Academy and performed at various community events with Verge. Mrs. Wolff graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in dance education and is going into her 19th year of teaching at Goodnight Middle School. She has developed and grown the dance program and the Dancing Stars into the successful, award winning programs that they are today.
Mrs. Wolff is married and has 2 children. Her daughter, Amanda will be starting her freshman year of college at Tarleton State University, majoring in pediatric nursing. Amanda is also part of the Texan Stars dance team. Mrs. Wolff’s son, Layne will be in 8th grade and is an avid basketball player.
