Born in McAllen Tx, Miss Baez began playing viola at the age of 12 yrs. In high school, she won many medals for competitions in Texas. In Miss Baez’s first year of college pursuing music education, she was a music consultant for both middle and high school. She was then offered a music scholarship to Texas State in which she continued her degree in music education. During that time, she participated in an after school program called “String Project.” 

Graduating top of her classroom, Miss Baez experienced her first 2 years of teaching at Altamira Academy. During that time, she received many grants to support her music program. In 2023, she was hired to work as the Orchestra & Mariachi Director for Goodnight MS. Currently doing that job, her program has accomplished many achievements such as getting “2nd place” in a national competition (virtual) and doubling the size of her orchestra.

Ms. Baez goal is to help her students not only achieve in the music field but also in the educational field. She truly believes that every student is talented and can reach their full potential with hard work and determination.
