Hello, my name is Ike Honea, and I am a first year Art teacher (and Rattler) as of 2026!

I graduated from Texas State with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in education in 2025. My focus in school and medium of choice is Drawing/Screenprinting. I also really love working with collage as well as digital drawing and animation. A hobby of mine is collecting transformers and I also have a pet cat named Isha.

As a teacher, I really believe in putting a focus on differentiation as a part of the curriculum in my classroom as one of my first priorities. My goal is to meet students where they are in order to get them engaged in learning in my classroom and, hopefully to have fun expressing themselves through art as well!

I'm not only excited to be a part of the Art department at San Marcos High school, but also to be part of your community!
