About the Cynthia A. Bell Scholarship

  • Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service,
    Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. In keeping with these ideals, we are honored to offer the Cynthia A. Bell Legacy
    Scholarship, established in remembrance of a beloved member whose life exemplified the very essence of Zeta.

    Cynthia A. Bell was a devoted member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and a charter member of the Gamma Alpha
    Chi Zeta Chapter, serving Hays, Caldwell, Comal, and Guadalupe Counties. Cynthia was known for her kindness,
    compassion, and the deep respect she showed to everyone she encountered. Her smile could light up any room.

    Application Requirements:

    •  Be a female high school senior attending a Hays County high school
    • Must live in Hays County
    •  Plan to pursue a degree in Computer Science or related field at a four-year college
    •  Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 or above
    •  Submit an official high school transcript
    •  Provide a headshot photo of the applicant
    •  Must submit two letters of recommendation: a letter may come from a teacher or a community leader
      familiar with the applicant, (i.e., minister, school leader)
    •  Complete activities form detailing community service and extracurricular involvement

    This scholarship has its own specific application process.
