About the US Foods Scholars Program

  • The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. 

    Eligibility

    Applicants to the US Foods Scholars Program must:

    • Be at least 18 years of age at the time awards are disbursed in August
    • Be a legal U.S. resident or person authorized to work in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia
    • Plan to enroll or already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year
    • Be pursuing a Culinary Arts degree or a related discipline, including, but not limited to, Culinary Science, Baking and Pastry Arts, Nutrition and Food Business Management, or Hospitality Management
    • Agree to participate in at least one professional development opportunity provided by US Foods

    US Foods employees, subsidiaries, parents, affiliates, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household are not eligible.

    Scholarship Amount: $20,000 (20 awards)
