A+ Federal Credit Union A+ Federal Credit Union was founded in 1949 by 50 Austin, Texas teachers and now has grown to over 141,000 members that include educators, students, their families, and other members of the community. A+FCU continues to have close relationships with local schools; $11,840 was presented to San Marcos High School in 2017 through their Cash-Back Checking partnership. A+FCU also provides free financial education curricula for educators, engages in financial education presentations for students, develops real-life money management simulations for youth, and has unique financial products designed for teachers.
A+ Education Foundation The A+ Education Foundation was established by A+ Federal Credit Union to provide grants up to $1,000 to full-time Pre-K through grade 12 educators. These grants help fund new and ongoing programs in local schools and help educators reach their goals. Since its start in 2005, the A+ Education Foundation has awarded over $757,000 to over 822 grant recipients across Central Texas.
