    Returning Student Online Registration

    SMCISD provides two online services for parents.  Parents of returning students will register/update their student's information online every year. Parents of new students will begin the enrollment process online and either upload or email documents to the campus registrar. See items required for new students to the district. 

    Returning student registration for 2020-2021 opens May 4, 2020 - August 2020.

    New Student Enrollment for grades 1-12 for 2020-2021 opens June 1, 2020.


Returning Student Registration

  • Complete the Returning Student Enrollment online form if the following applies:

    • My student was enrolled in a San Marcos CISD school on the last day of the prior school year.

2020-2021 New Student Enrollment

  • New Student Enrollment for 2020-2021 is open.  Complete the New Student Enrollment online form if one of the following applies:

    • Enrolling in summer: My student was not enrolled at any SMCISD school during the 2019-2020 school year.
    • Enrolling during the current school year: My student was previously enrolled at SMCISD, withdrew, and is now returning.

Items Required for Registration of a New Student

  • To enroll a child for the first time, the following is required: 

    • certified copy of the child’s birth certificate if the student is under the age of 11. 
      • Other proof of birth (birth certificate, hospital birth record, school records, etc.) are acceptable if the student is 11 years old or older;
    • current immunization records as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services
    • proof of residence [i.e. deed, lease agreement, OR a recent utility bill (water, electric or gas)];
    • name of prior school attended; copies of prior school records if available
    • Providing a Social Security card or number is optional. SMCISD will not refuse enrollment of any student opting not to provide a social security card/number. In lieu of a social security number, a state identification number will be provided for educational purposes only.
    • photo ID of parent or guardian (Texas law requires that a child must be enrolled by a parent or guardian who has legal control of the student under a court order.)
