Term Ends: 2027

Juan Miguel Arredondo, a fifth-generation Texan and native of San Marcos, is a proud product of our San Marcos CISD public schools and Texas State University. 

Miguel previously represented District One from 2015 to 2023, advocating on behalf of neighborhoods in southeast San Marcos, as well as parts of Guadalupe and Caldwell County. 

In 2024, he secured an uncontested victory for one of the at-large seats on the school board. Despite nine years of progress, Miguel recognizes the ongoing need to ensure a quality and equitable education for all students, requiring dedicated effort and time from every board member to address the challenges ahead.

Miguel is dedicated to balancing the school district’s budget while prioritizing continued investment in our students, staff, and families.
