The Texas Department of State describes school health services as a “coordinated system that ensures a continuum of care from school to home to community health care provider and back” (Small et al., 1995). San Marcos CISD Health Services shares the Texas School Health Program vision of a Texas in which all children are healthy, ready to learn and prepared to make healthy lifelong choices.
The San Marcos CISD Health Services team serves over 8,200 students across 12 campuses and works closely with school staff and parents to ensure the specific health needs of all students are met.
