Summary of Goals
100% of Lamar staff members will have a clear and shared focus regarding student success, blended learning practices and remote learning practices, resulting in 100% of DAEP students returning to their home campus with passing grades in every core subject area. Lamar campus teachers will implement writing across all core content areas to improve students’ abilities to write critically. 90% of DAEP students will complete their program placement having made significant gains in filling any academic gaps in the four core classes and will have also completed all of their coursework provided by their home campus with success. Lamar will coordinate all appropriate testing (6-12) for students placed at DAEP, ensuring that every opportunity is given to them during their placement (ACT, SAT, PSAT, ASVAB, TSI, etc.). Lamar will provide high-quality, research based professional learning opportunities that are aligned to the district core commitments in order to increase quality of instruction and student achievement. Lamar will refine school-wide systems that are in place to meet the needs of more students; re-establish partnerships with local and state programs that would assist with issues such as drug/alcohol use, suicide prevention, anger management, antibullying, etc. Lamar will develop a comprehensive SEL plan/program to support all students and staff. Lamar will provide increased access to supplies, materials, and other supports as needed for students in need--including those experiencing homelessness, in order to increase equitable access to the curriculum. Lamar will see a 10% increase in daily attendance and a 10% increased parental and community engagement activities. 100% of Lamar staff will complete safety training, SRP protocol training, and follow Covid-19 guidelines as set by the state, city and the district.
