2020 - 2021 Student Transfer Information
Important information regarding Student Transfers:
San Marcos CISD Families,
The student transfer window is now open for San Marcos CISD. For those wishing to transfer within or into the district, you may fill out the school choice transfer application.
A change in the feeder patterns will go into effect this upcoming school year. The feeder patterns are as followed:
New Feeder Patterns
*Denotes change in middle school
- Elementary campuses feeding into Goodnight Middle School:
- Bowie Elementary
- De Zavala Elementary
- Mendez Elementary*
- Elementary campuses feeding into Miller Middle School:
- Crockett Elementary
- Hernandez Elementary
- Rodriguez Elementary
- Travis Elementary*
- Any current 7th grade student (incoming 8th grade) and their sibling(s) moved to Goodnight or Miller by the boundary change may notify the district of a request to return to the home campus between January 8 and February 5 using this transfer application: Request to Grandfather from Goodnight or Miller
- Any student may request to transfer to a different campus* or transfer into the district between January 8 and February 5 using this school choice transfer application. In addition, current 6th grade students (incoming 7th grade students for 20-21 school year) who have been rezoned must submit a school choice application if they wish to remain at their current campus.Request to Transfer Within or Into District
*Approval of transfers will depend on space available at respective campus. Students approved, either through the grandfather or school choice transfer option, will not be eligible to receive SMCISD Transportation services.

Which campus are you zoned to?
To search by address, search for your address in the spreadsheet. The excel sheet is allowed for you to search your address by elementary campus. The elementary campus you are zoned to will tell you which middle school campus your student will be attending.
