San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District (“SMCISD”) has retained an independent registered municipal advisor to provide advice on matters related to the issuance of municipal securities and municipal financial products.
SMCISD is represented by and will rely on its municipal advisor, Tijerina Financial Consulting LLC, to provide advice with respect to proposals from financial services firms concerning the issuance of municipal securities and related financial products.
Any proposals or communications received from financial services firms are considered unsolicited and will be forwarded to SMCISD’s municipal advisor for review. SMCISD will not rely on any advice from financial services firms unless it is provided through or reviewed in coordination with its municipal advisor.
This disclosure is intended to be relied upon by market participants for purposes of the independent registered municipal advisor exemption under the SEC’s Municipal Advisor Rule.

Any vendor that we make payments to; therefore, any new vendor that the District receives goods from will be asked to complete a W-9 Form. Any payment that San Marcos CISD makes, whether from the district office or a school, is subject to IRS 1099 reporting requirements. San Marcos CISD utilizes the W-9 Form to obtain pertinent information on potential payees including their tax identification number. Their Tax ID number is either their EIN (employer identification number) or their SS (social security number). This form can be obtained from the San Marcos CISD Finance Office.
