About the Department

  • The San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District Department of Communications and Community Relations keeps community members, parents, students and staff informed of the most important and newsworthy events directly affecting the education of SMCISD students.

    The Department of Communications and Community Relations promotes and articulates the district’s mission and goals by maintaining open lines of communication with local television, radio, and print and social media.

    The Department of Communications and Community Relations promotes community support and partnerships by serving as a liaison between the school district and the community.
